Firstly does any one know if my existing Linux VPS (which currently is just used as webserver) would be suitable as I am guessing most tools are windows and also can they suggest if this is the way to go?

Obviously If for example I ran Scrapebox from this server and used proxies several staff could use it rather than having to buy multiple licences.

I use quite a few custom tools and also looking at building a a business out slowly but steadily using outsourced workers before.

Last time I did this the expense just ran out of control and slowly it all came to a halt so open to alternative suggestions.

Not positive, but I really don't think linux will work.

Another Bomber just recently gave me access to his windows server using Remote Desktop.

It works, but it can be a bit of a hassle as there's a bit of a lag between when you click/scroll and the corresponding action. This can be a bit frustrating if you have a lot of work to do with a program.

But the advatanages are, like you said, others can use the same programs without needed additional licenses.

Plus, the speed of a dedicated/vps windows server will be much faster than your home connection, so if you're using programs that use a net connection like Scrapebox, it will be a lot faster.

Also, having a Win server allows you to travel and access your main programs from any PC without worrying about having access to a quality connection.

I suggest you find a WIN vps and give it a try yourself to get a feel for using Remote Desktop and if dealing with the "lag" is OK for you.

I assume this would work for gaining access to a server. All you do is download a small app to the server and then you can connect pretty easily.

Any one else used this or other remote software?
