I accidently deleted the follow mesage from Ross...Here it is:

Hello,
I have successfully built a new web site using Blogbomb to supply content. I am now trying to add GF Bomb archives to this site.

I am editing a mailing list I have created in GF Bomb and I'm in the Preview and Edit templates section.

I have successfully edited the Text Body and HTML body sections, but for the Archive Body section, I am trying to use more elaborate HTML. In fact, I am trying paste in an edited down version of my site's index.html page so the archive will match the rest of my site (just like at lizardz.com).

The problem is that after I paste in the HTML code and click the preview button, I don't get a preview...all three previw windows go blank and then after about 10 seconds some strange text (snipits of code) appears right down below the Preview, Accept and Cancel buttons.

I have tried starting form scratch a few times in case I made an error with pasting but I get the same results. I have also tried to use the code from a much simpler page, my "missing error 404 page" (no menus, no SSI or allposters code etc on it) and I run into the same problem.

Are there limitations on the HTML that can be added to the archive body?

My site template uses javascript for menus and has a flash logo. Could either of these be an issue in GF?

How can I use a template that looks like the rest of my site?

Should I use a navi file?

Thanks,
Ross

Ross,

The only limit is with the PREVIEW, not the actual pages being created. The PREVIEW uses javascript and if your template also use it, it will mess up the PREVIEW ONLY.

However, your pages will still be OK and will incorporate your javascript.

Run in test mode and check the actual page created.

Kurt,

I have followed your advice above and I am now in test mode but getting the folllowing messeage in the GF error log:

ZineBomb - FATAL ERROR:
Wide character in syswrite at /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.8.0/Net/Cmd.pm line 436.

I have serached the forum and found that someone else had previously posted that error but it was solved privately and the solution was not posted.

Ross

Ross,

Email Kirill with your receipt and log in info and have him take a look. My guess is there's an invalid character, but he'll know for sure...Thanks...
