Hey Everyone...Kirill, my programmer just emailed me that BlogBomb is already able to export as RSS.
Both of us had forgotten this was possible. But, I can't do it with the version I have installed.
Who here can have BlobBomb export as RSS?
Can a few of you test the syntax:
format=rss
Are you guys getting an RSS pheed?
Note to Chris (hyper)...When you asked about the RSS pheed, it is possible that you were really seeing an RSS pheed and I (incorrectly) said it wasn't an RSS pheed. This is becuase the version of BB I have installed didn't have this feature.
(I think both Kirill and I are getting a little senile. LOL)

Here is what I did. In my blogbomb installation at gilbertocintron.com I entered the following:RSS URL:* http://newsrss.bbc.co.uk/rss/sportonline_uk_edition/boxing/rss.xml
HTML URL: http://www.laughablevideo.com/tv/
Title: My boxing blog
Description: This is a test for blogbomb rss
When I clicked the html preview link I was directed to my blog at http://www.laughablevideo.com/tv/
When I clicked the RSS preview link I was directed to the rss results for http://newsrss.bbc.co.uk/rss/sportonline_uk_edition/boxing/rss.xml
and when I clicked the SSI preview link I was directed to my blogbomb feeds at http://gilbertocintron.com/cgi-bin/news/feedsearch_ssi.cgi?channel=3
If you were asking about getting an rss code page I guess it didnt work for me either.

I can say yes to Chris having RSS Pheeds on one of his sites using BBX2 ... at least the site I saw had them.
What he did was load a few RSS pheeds and then shuffled them. They seemed to show up just fine.
After reading Gil's post, I wonder what version Chris has.
Umm ... can you tell me if that version you have is the same one I have lol? It;s the all in one cpanel.
If so, is it possible to upgrade it, or at least send me the version that does?
I guess we can let you slide just this once on the senility thing. We are all getting a little older you know.

Umm ... which version do you have?
Chris (hyperpower) is really the one who has it figured out. He was the one showing me how to do it so the credit goes to him.
But, what you do is log into you cpanel and create 1 category. add title and description.
Then click add and go to next page by selecting the category up at the top, and then "Update Pheed" to the right of that cat.
Then add your Pheeds. Make sure you enter 1 pheed per line, no spaces.
To add List Of Pheeds:
(enter XML URLs only)
Here's and example:
etc... for how many you want to add.
Click "Add Pheeds"
Then click shuffle.
Then grab the code and paste it in the page of your site where you want it to show.
If you are using PHP, grab the PHP code.
If you are using html, grab the SSI code.
At least that is the way I think to do it. I have had much practice with it though lol.
If it isn't right, Kurt, Chris, or someone will correct it.
Hope this helps ...
Mary

Hi Mary,Thanks very so much for taking time to reply & explain.
> Umm ... which version do you have?
I have v 1 & BB Xtreme, but mine is a few years old, is there any new version?
But I thought what Kurt meant was if we can display an RSS pheed like the following using BB:
http://newsrss.bbc.co.uk/rss/sportonline_uk_edition/boxing/rss.xml
So we can make a black hole rss pheed using BB???

Hey UT,
There are a couple of versions of BB Xtreme, 1 and 2.
If you need to upgrade, you need to discuss it with Kurt.
To answer your last question, yes you can....sort of.

Hey All...There seems to be a version of BBX2 installed by Kirill that has the RSS feature. For some reason I never got this version. This version also generates a php include.
Here's how to tell if you BB is able to output and shuffle RSS...
Does your BB admin have a box to generate tags for ALL THREE:
SSI
PHP
RSS
If so, you're ready to go. For those that own BBX2 (not BlogBomb1) but can't do the RSS export thing, hang on while I work out how to updae everyone.
Yoshi and Gil (only for now)...I know you guys are experienced BB2 owners so email me at lvha@aol.com and I'll send you this RSS export version.
I'm not sure about updating past installs, so I'd make this a second install of its own that you can use to create random RSS pheeds, similar to the blackhole.

Hey Mary...
It's not that this wrong...But you don't need to use a php or SSI include. You can just use the RSS pheed URL directly.
Here's mine:
http://blogbomb.com/cgi-bin/BBX2RSS/feedsearch_ssi.cgi?cat=1&random=1&format=rss
Hit "refresh" and see how the pheed "updates". I'm using two pheeds for this example: 1. Daily news. 2. NFL football.
There are different variables/attributes that can be added, but this is the basic URL, just add this URL to any application that accepts RSS pheeds, such as ZZ Tuel, Blogger, WordPress, etc.

I purchased BBX2 back in November but I don't see the RSS, PHP, etc. export feature. It really would be a nice feature to have.
