Some of you old-timers we get this.
I just saw a WSO talking about autoupdating fanpages. I thought, he might be talking a new approach to an old idea. And the WSO is targeting one day. Cyber monday for quick sales. No problem there.
But Kurt, it made me think of zz tuelz. Talk about autoupdating. If you already know how to setup a facebook app to do html, or even use of the free or nearly free fb page apps, then you could use zz to create a ton of self updating pages. Just like we have been doing with basic websites for years.
And you can use scrubz to make comment pages.
So much we can do with tuelz mostly evergreen systems.

Hey Kelvin,
I don't know anything about Facebook...Are you saying there are FB apps that let you use HTML pages and that there's a way to FTP them to Facebook?
And...How does Facebook work with RSS/Scrubz?
Thanks and sorry for my ignorance...

What an app can do is basically act as an Iframe. Allowing you to pull in almost any content you want.
As an example: http://www.facebook.com/MuskogeeDirectory?sk=app_102932026483521
That goes directly to one of the tabs on my facebook page. It is the tab, named muskogee directory events calendar.
The content, is just pulled from my actually calendar hosted elsewhere.
Another tab on that same facebook page is for a concert, Music Fest, it is just pulling in a page with 3 graphic images on it.
As for how to work with tuelz. Use your imagination, Tuelz creates pages, those pages can be loaded into iframes, for which you make apps for.
Hit me up for any help I can give you.

http://www.facebook.com/PrivateLabelRightsToGo?sk=app_155254331216944
Note: the space we have to work with, is only 520 pixels wide, max.
I generally use 500 as my max, so I don't have left and right scroll bars.

Thanks Kelvin...Can you recommend a decent iframes app for Facebook?
And...It seems BlogBomb could also be used for this.
For example:
Scrubz => Blogbomb => FaceBook (via iframes)

Hi Kurt,
I use, Ezfanpage generator
http://www.warriorplus.com/linkwso/7sjmgq/301
There are several. I went with this and it has worked for me.
Yes, to your example: Like I said, no real limit, because we can
make all kinds of bombing pages.
And if you had not noticed, you can have a ton of tabs on facebook pages, which makes it come close to mimicking a regular website with multiple pages linked to front page.
Using dog training as the old standby example, you can have a fanpage about dog training, with individual tabs for big dogs, puppies, guard, house breaking, etc.
They could be static or dynamic.
Lead capture, etc.

Thanks Kelvin...Coincidently, I just read a report by Barbara Ling about autoupdating FB fanpages. She uses http://twitterfeed.com to automatically update fan pages. Twitterfeed will take any RSs pheed and then post to FB, Twitter and a few others.

Join the MadBomber VIP club here http://www.dombom.com/vip/clk/54sr37True, but be careful of community pages. At least in the long run, as community is something that if it becomes truly popular, facebook could take it over and run it.
Now, I don't know how much is consider popular, and what if any control is left to the starter. But it does work, as I have tested the report. It is possible that you can make use of it for years. On this I have not gone deep into what happens if it is truly popular.
Regular business pages cannot at this time use that method.
However, a different route would be to use programs like www.marketmesuite.com load up 30 to 60 tips or other bits of info, into a csv spreadsheet, schedule to post to twitter. Done with updates for 30 days straight, or a year if done once a week.
