"Thanksgiving in the US"
|
This Thurs. is a big holiday in the US and I'll be "on the road again", starting tomorrow (Monday)...I'm heading to Vegas to meet friends and family for Thanksgiving. I should still be online (when I'm not driving to/from LV), but expect my responses to any posts, email to be a little slower. Happy Thanksgiving to all...
-Boom boom boom boom.

2. "RE: Thanksgiving in the US"

As you can well understand, they don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in Mexico. And any calendars you buy won't have US holidays listed so many times they just pass me by. However, this year, it's an exception. I'm cooking a full Thanksgiving dinner and inviting the family over. They haven't a clue so I'll have to explain, prior to dinner, what we're celebrating. Yet, I know why they're coming. It's my great grandmother's Civil War era recipe for Chocolate Pie! My grandmother got it from her grandmother and I'm the only member of the family who goaded her into revealing the recipe so I'm the only one with PIE! LOL Have a good one! John PS. I "modernized" the recipe to be microwavable. Verified correct by my grandmother! If you want the recipe, PM me. I've actually seen family members FIGHT over the last piece. |
