I want everyone to check out this thread on the Warrior forum:
http://www.warriorforum.com/forum/topic.asp?ARCHIVE=true&TOPIC_ID=8497It's from 4.5 years ago and it documents that I went 8 for 8 in getting my last SEO client 8 number 1 rankings across all the major engines.
AT that time, all these search engines were independant and used different algos. Since, Yahoo has bought many of them, so today many of them are the "same" SE. It was much harder to get all 8 #1's than it would be today.
Again, I did this to document 8 #1 postitions across all engines for my client's (friend's) main keyword.
Take Note!
Don't be impressed by the 8 for 8, as that wasn't the point of the post.If you read the thread, you'll see that I mention another style of SEO. All the gurus preach the SEO style I used to go 8 for 8. The thread just proves I knew how to do their style, as well.
However, what you'll soon learn is the "other" style, the one I use for myself, and have for almost 12 years now.
Their style is to get rankings. My style is to get traffic.
My style takes into account the the SEs often change and instead of optimizing each page, it tries to cover ALL REASONABLE POSSIBILITIES.
The style you are about to learn mixes and matches all reasonable aspects of on page SEO.
Our goal isn't to find the "perfect" keyword density. It is to make pages that greatly vary the keyword density.
We're not trying to figure out if our keywords should be used at the beginning or end of the title tags...It's to use our keywords at the beginning, middle and ending of our title tags.
Should keywords be in the <h1> tags? We don't care because we'll have a lot of keywords in the <h1> tags, but we'll also have pages without.
We want to cover EVERY possibility. If the engines change, we'll have a page that they'll like.
What happend to Johnny? He learned that going 8 for 8 number 1's wasn't the best way to do SEO. Instead, he learned my other style of SEO and now SELLS jobs to other entertainers in Las Vegas and books as many as 30-40 appointments on a Friday or Saturday.
-Boom boom boom boom.
