"Subscription with Yahoo Account"
|
Hi Kurt, I discovered one problem with my Godfather bomb. When my subscriber used an Yahoo email account to subscribe, when they received the confirmation email, they only see a "Confirmation" in the subject. The content of the email is empty. There is no confirmation link inside for the subscriber to confirm their email. I do not have this problem when I use other email to subscribe. Do you know what is the problem? AP

AP... Is the problem with just one Yahoo user or all? If it's one, my guess is "human error". If all Yahoo subscribers have the problem, then it's likely it has something to do with Yahoo. But GBomb desn't discriminate and sends out the same email message (html/text) to all users, so why only Yahoo won't show the message is something that seems to point to Yahoo only...Have they started something new?

AP, Did you sign up for your own list using Yahoo?
If it's only one user and Yahoo email is web based, my first inclination is it has something to do with the User and/or their browser.

Found out the caused of the problem. My server reverse DNS was not setup properly and Yahoo thinks it is a spam. The email is therefore moved to the bulk folder and I think somehow it filtered out the content too. I tried configured the reverse DNS to the correct value yesterday. Tried again today and the email was not moved to the bulk folder now. The confirmation link is also there. So everything seemed OK now. AP |
